    • TechTeach@UIC
      • A survey was sent out to faculty for feedback on conference focus
      • The theme is “Innovative Practices in Teaching and Learning”
      • Call for proposals  will be sent out soon, should be selected by May
    • IT Professional Forum (ITPF)
      • ITPF is scheduled for April 3rd at the UIC Forum
    • Questions for IT Governance Summit at Urbana
      • Members of this committee will be part of a panel on IT governance
      • Discussion of suggestions and questions for the panel
      • Discussion of main goals for next year: working on process and transparency
  • Strategic Planning
    • WTC consulting prepared a scope document, a final report from their fall focus groups
      • Discussion of results, what the main areas of focus will be
      • Council will act as steering committee for the strategic planning process
      • Discussion of roles in the IT Strategic Plan, how it will affect governance process
  • ITGC Bylaws
    • Discussion of Bylaws
      • Consideration that bylaws are still subject to change in the future
      • Discussion of faculty representatives in committee and council meetings
      • Approved Motion: Motion to adopt the bylaws, including a change of charge of the Education Committee, addition of Vice Provost for Planning and Programs, and change to faculty representative on Council, was approved
    • Next Steps
      • Discussion of how to determine committee chairs for the next academic year
      • Discussion of voting and selection process
  • High Performance Computing Update
    • Provost will send a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) about the agreement regarding the cluster
      • Process will be worked on for approving proposals in the future
      • Details of funding are being worked on
  • LMS Governance Board
    • Education Committee has a subcommittee to help with LMS decisions
      • Subcommittee should be formed to look at other systems besides Blackboard
